Most successful perfumes are produced by huge conglomerates with millions of dollars to spend. Geir was an aspiring Hollywood actor with limited English language skills, little knowledge of perfume and no money. He did have determination and a quirky imagination. Totally broke, he maxed out his credit cards, borrowed money from friends, raised funds however he could and within a few years he’s heading a $1 million fragrance company.
Geir travels 330 days last year visiting stores to promote his Laila perfume and beauty products. The eau de Parfum, made from natural oils, sells for $49 for a 1.7 oz and $69 for the 3.4 oz. bottle. Deodorant, shower gel, powder and body creams are priced $18 to $39. The candles are available for $33. Our newest product line additions are Lip tingle and Body bronzer and only available in selected stores Laila and Geir are available nationwide at Nordstrom. Sephora USA carries Laila and will be adding Geir to their inventory in the fall. Some of the other high profile stores carrying both lines are Henri Bendel – NY, Fred Segal – Los Angeles and Epcot Center- Orlando. Specialty boutiques throughout the US feature Laila and Geir as well. With offices in Los Angeles, Miami Beach, New York, Chicago & Oslo-Norway, Laila, Inc. is growing leaps and bounds.
